DocumenTree Privacy Commitment. This policy affirms that DocumenTree has a commitment to your privacy and provides the following policy defining that commitment covering the following items.

• What personally identifiable information of yours or third party personally identifiable information that is collected from you through the web site
• The organization collecting the information
• How the information is used
• With whom the information may be shared
• What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information
• The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under DocumenTree control.

Privacy Commitment. Our policy is that we are committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience that you can get anywhere.

Personally Identifiable Information Collected. No information that can uniquely identify an individual is gathered by merely visiting the www.DocumenTree.com Web site.  Personally identifiable information is only collected when you choose to register for the DocumenTree Service, either as a Subscriber or a Guest, as follows:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Email Address
• Country of Origin

When logging into the actual Service, we create a cookie for session management that is not stored on your computer.  These per-session cookies are maintained when using the Service for identification purposes.  If you do not allow cookies with your browser, then your usage of the service will not be possible.

When registering, you may be also asked if you want to opt-in to receive updates, information and a newsletter. You can choose not to receive these emailings at the time of registration.  Once you have logged in, you can opt-out of receiving updates, information, and our newsletter through your Account at any time thereafter. You can also change all other personal information stored in your Account.

If you initially registered through one of our DocumenTree Sponsors, your registration data may be shared by DocumenTree with the Sponsor.  Each DocumenTree Sponsor has its own Privacy Policy and you should be familiar with their privacy policy as well as ours.

Use of Personally Identifiable Information. We will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to anyone.  We may share personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:

• Our agreement with a DocumenTree Sponsor of the Service requires us to share the information with the Sponsor.  Because the Sponsor's privacy policy governs what they do with the data, you should be familiar with their privacy policies;
• We respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process;
• We find that your actions on our web sites violate the Terms of Use.

Within the Service, only Subscribers can view your name and email address to assist them in identification for the purpose of sharing documents with you.

If you have not opted-out of receiving mailings, we will communicate (generally email) with you to update Service information, provide support, request feedback, provide marketing and service information, request marketing input, and provide special offers and incentives related to the Service.  Feedback comments from users may be posted as anonymous comments on our Web page.  Non-identifiable, aggregate information may be shared with interested parties.  If you have opted-out of receiving these mailings, your only avenue of information regarding the service will be via the Terms of Use Agreement or a message upon Login of the service.

When you register you have the opportunity to opt-in to these mailings. You also have the ability to opt-out at a later time by adjusting your Account, while you are logged into the service. If you have not chosen to opt-out and wish to, you are told how to do that on each mailing that is sent to you.

To change other personal information, log into the service, click on the Account link, select 'View/Edit My Account Information', and change it.  The personal information is used by others to identify you when sharing documents with you.

When you contact us through an online form on our site, your email address and information is kept only for the purposes of responding to your request and future requests that you may have. 

All personally identifiable information collected and stored under your account along with your content and documents are stored on servers hosted in a first-level commercial networking & datacenter service provider for the 24 hour per day operation, maintenance and physical protection of our web servers and your information.

DocumenTree and its Sponsors may aggregate data to compare/supplement our records.

Policy Changes.  If we change our policies and provide Personally Identifiable Information to third parties other than our DocumenTree Service Sponsors, we will notify all registered users via email at least 10 business days prior to the exchange of information and allow users to opt-out of having their information being exchanged. This mailing will be sent to all users, even those who have opted out of receiving such mailings themselves through their account.

Your Documents are yours and are treated as Private.  Your documents can only be seen by you and by those with whom you share them, except that individual documents may be accessed by the system administrators to assist and resolve technical problems you may have with your documents.

Your Information is Safely Secured.  Our site has security and reliability measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information provided to us.  The servers are maintained in a secure and safe environment.

When you have Questions.
